I'm back to blogging :)

       Well lets start with sorry i haven't blogged mom wasn't able to get the internet on my phone and I was't up to using the laptop. But I'm back. :D So I got home Tuesday. I was still a little sluggish yesterday. I didn't sleep but I wasn't up to moving around. This morning I had to get my InR, don't ask what it stands for cause I don't know but it's used to make sure my blood is as thin as it needs to be. Mummy and I had to leave the house bout 8 and we did some other errands then came home. I took my first nap since I've been home and it was great. lol My younger cousins came over tonight. James is helping pawpaw tomorrow and Jazzy is gonna help me tomorrow since mommy goes back to work. :)
      Ok so enough about being home lets talk about the hospital. :) OK so we left the Wednesday right before my surgery. My brother in law and nephew went with us. I was in the back seat with Eli and James sat in the front with mummy. We dropped Eli off at James' Great Grandmother's place, she is such a nice women. We went to the office and they weighed me and took my blood pressure and walked us though how the next day, surgery day, would go. It was pretty much close to how my last surgery. I talked to a lot of people and they went over a lot, still using the big doctor words most of them going over my head. Afterwards we went to the hotel, kinda got lost I mean did some sight seeing. We checked on Eli and then we went and got some food. We relaxed in the hotel room and ate. Then James went back home to wait for Sissy to get off work. Mommy and I watched some tv till nanny got there. We went for a nice swim, since I can't swim for awhile. (Alright here's a question- If you put your bathing suit on when going to a pool, that means you intend on swimming, right? I don't think my Mewmaw understands that.) We went back to the room and waited for James and Sissy to come. Then we all relaxed and then went to sleep.
     The next morning we got our stuff together and signed out of the hotel. Mommy and I got in Nanny's jeep. James and Sissy got in mommy's car and we went our ways. James and Sissy went to check on Eli. Mommy and Nanny and I head for the hospital. We get there and  they give me one of those lovely hospital gowns and I enough I got a snazzy hair net. :) They put the normal bracelet on me and a red on that says ALLERGY and a yellow one that says FALL RISK, I think i need a permanent fall risk one lol. They give me my first IV in my left hand. Some of the people I meet the day before come in and see us. My Pastor, Neil and his wife, Elaine came to see us. We prayed before they gave me the loopy meds and boy did they work fast. I was sitting up on the bed since we were all talking and stuff. The guy came in and cleaned the IV and put the syringe in the IV and BOOM!!! I was loopy my head got light and the next thing I knew I was waking up in the ICU room with mommy. (They said I'd probably be in the ICU room for 1 to 2 days) I fell back a sleep because I was still loopy.

Well that my story I'm gonna have mommy blog tomorrow about what happened during the surgery then I'll till you more. :P

We're in Charlotte

Mommy, James, Eli and I made it to Charlotte. Eli is spending some time with his Great Grandma today. Mommy, James and I are eating breakfast to waste some time before the preop.

Last full day in my house for a while

     Well I pack today. ( Surprisingly I need more then you'd think like shirts to wear when I leave, books, paper and pencil to draw, etc.) Mostly it's stuff to do in the hospital room after the surgery. Mommy and Pawpaw got Skype so we can see each other when I'm in the hospital room. So if you'd like to Skype me as well feel free too. My Skype name is elizabeth.roze3. I have Skype on my phone so I'll get a notice if someone messages me. I'm showing mom how to do the blog via my phone today when she gets off work and I'll show her how to check Skype as well.
      Mommy will be updating during the surgery (Since I'll be asleep and probably a little...okay a lot...drugged and all though some of you got some fun text when I got my wisdom teeth out) I'll try and post as soon as I can. I may even get a picture with the surgeon tomorrow. Who knows.
     Once I'm back home and back to a semi-normal life (so probably about 2 maybe 3 weeks after I get back.) I am still going to keep up the blog. I'll keep you updated on all things surgery but I'll also touch on some other things like school or family or relationships or love or whatever. I hope yall will post some questions. :) And then some day when I'm a famous journalist yall all be able to say "I read her stuff before it was cool." lol :)

Update

               So the preop was moved to Wednesday. And surgery is still Thursday. I'll post Wednesday night and Thursday before  I go in. I'm giving my blog info to mommy so she can post updated during the surgery and while I'm still asleep. I'll try and get back to posting as soon as possible. :)

Surgeon meeting

Well there's two types of valves I can get. A tissue valve which will last 10-15 yr, the doctor has seem them last longer but feels normally it's 10-15, which I'll have to then get it replaced again. ( Replacing it once is one thing but having to replace it more than that is dangerous bc of infections and such) Then there's a mechanical valve which would last my life. I'd have to take cumanah (I don't know how to spell it), its a blood thinner, a very 'special' blood thinner, too much could hurt me, too little could hurt me, I'd have to take it same time every day. And if I was to get pregnant I'd have to basically live in the hospital till the baby was born bc I'd have to switch to a different blood thinner, an IV blood thinner, and that's still not safe for a fetus.  (I'll still be on my blood pressure meds ). The surgeon said not to decide anything in the office. So we've had some time to talk about it and we're leaning toward the mechanical one.
    We go in on Monday for a preop.  Do some blood work and get the layout of the place and what will actually happen. Then it's scheduled for the 24th. I'll be there for a week and then I'll be back home. :)

Hospital visit

Well I went to hospital. Just got home and it's 12:06. They said they didn't think the pain was from my heart really it was more the muscle around it. They gave me a pain pill and said it was ....sleepy....so good night :) I'm ok now no worries :p

I think the bending over and reaching up to put the newspaper on the balloon did something my chest is hurting a little.... and then mommy gave Eli a balloon!  I can't move away either :(

Step number one done

    We blew up the, devil span, balloons. Then taped them together to make a heart shape.  Made the glue (2 cups water, 2 cups flour, 1 tablespoon salt). Cut the newspaper in to strips, 1inish. Then we dipped the newspaper in glue and put it on the balloons. Then Nanny has a great idea to hang it upside down. It definitely made it easier to put the newspaper on it. Now we're letting it dry.
    Next we'll do touch ups on the newspaper. Then we paint it to give it a color.

     Well Thursday is when we go talk to the surgeon. Saturday, the 19th, is the Pump up!  The Hearty Party! We went shopping today for supplies...like stuff for the Pinata. :D
     Mommy and I are making it now and Nanny is playing with Eli in water.  :D

    We're having a party before my surgery. It's musically themed. It's gonna be so much fun. :D We're gonna dance till your feet give out lol :P I can't wait.

What mommy found out...

       Well mommy just called me and told me what the doctors said....We go the 17th to talk to the surgeon. Then we'll talk about what they're going to do and what type of valve they're going to use and exactly when it will be...Right now they said they're aiming for the 24th....There's not much more to say for now.  

Fourth of July

Had a great Fourth of July. Hop you do. We had a cookout in the back yard and family and friends came. Then mommy and my two younger cousins, Jazzy and Jules,  and I went to Kool Park. (I been at Kool Park a lot lately) Well we haven't heard from any news. It turns out my doctor didn't get a chance to talk about my surgery with the group (which just means there are more important people that need help before me) so we should hear about it next week :)

07/03/2014 News?

         Well nanny and I went shopping for the fourth. Mummy just got home from work. We still haven't heard anything from the doctors. Mum is going to call at 2 o'clock. We're gonna start getting stuff ready for tomorrow's cook out. I'm making desserts. So that's all for now. I'll let you know what they say at 2 o'clock.

07/2/14 Working with Mummy

Well today I'm helping mummy with work. We're traveling today. (riding on a bus with about 30 kids so much fun, right? lol) Not 100% on if the doctor will call today or not but if anything happens I'll let you know...Yesterday when Nanny, Mummy and I went out we saw a friend from school. Found out he's going Canada for a mission's trip (Keep him and his group in your prays.) we let him know about my surgery and then we went our separate ways. We saw another old friend and let him know too. (They all have the reaction that "I have to be careful I may brake her" look and really that's what hurts the most. I'm not worried or scared about the surgery. I know the doctors know what they're doing and God has things under control. But to have someone look at you differently just because of a small problem/issue/disease/disorder/illness it hurts. I'm still the same girl. I can do what I used to do. Have heart surgery? No heart surgery is having me. And trust me that's worse.) Well I'll post some more later on in the day. I might even take a selfie with mummy. :p

Going out with Mummy and Nanny

So doc didn't call...soooooooo Mummy called them and they said that we should  find out tomorrow and if we don't hear anything by Thursday then call.  I guess this just means that it's not a hurry for my surgery :) that's good.... but it's also nerve racking :/....Well Mummy, Nanny and I are going out to Old Navy and Style Exchange listening to Jamie Grace :), and maybe we can talk Nanny into McDonald's :p or Taco Bell, who knows. Well that's it for today. When we get home we're gonna get ready for bed and relax and watch a movie then go to bed cuz I'm helping Mummy at work tomorrow. :p

Morning July 1, 2014

             So today is the day that the doctor is calling to let us know when we will be talking to the surgeon. Mummy is still at work, at pin station with a bunch of little kids. (gross :p Heehee jk) Pawpaw is locked away in his office (Nanny doesn't let him  out much) Nanny is about to vacuum (with her almighty Rainbow that no one else is allowed to touch) But I bet Eli can, I mean he gets to touch the walls. (See when all the grandkids were little we'd get in huge trouble for touching the walls but Lil Great  grandchild o's allowed to touch them. I see the favorite. ) Anyways I'm gonna be giving my puppy dog, Moonshine or should I say her full name Lady Moonshine of the Black Dynasty, (don't ask, she's from my Brittinee's dog's litter and Brittinee said it had to be Indian and I thought of Jacob black from Twlight, very sad I know), a bath today and cutting her nails. And Nanny is gonna help and do Polly's, Nanny precious  Chinese Hairless Crested,  as well. And don't worry I will be uploading picture :p
